Guardian Recovery wants everyone to be able to use Guardian Recovery Virtual Counseling’s website, including people who use assistive technology or who need a different display to read comfortably.
Our goal
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA as an ongoing goal. We review the site against those guidelines, fix what we find, and treat accessibility as part of every change we make. We do not claim that every page meets every guideline today.

The accessibility tool on this site
Every page carries an accessibility tool, the round button in the lower left corner. It lets you change how the page is displayed in your own browser: larger text, heavier or wider spacing, a font designed for readers with dyslexia, highlighted links and headings, higher or lower contrast, more or less colour saturation or a monochrome view, a larger cursor, paused animations and a reading guide. It is optional.
It changes the display only on your device. Your choices are kept in your browser's storage (or, if that is unavailable, in a cookie that lasts for your browsing session) and are not sent to Guardian Recovery or to anyone else. The tool is served from this website's own address and makes no request to any other company.
The tool does not change the page's content or structure, and using it does not make the site conform to the guidelines. The work that does, in the site's own code, is separate and continuing.
Known limitations
- Some documents published as PDF files may not be fully accessible yet.
- Some embedded content from other providers (for example video players and maps) may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site, and it loads only after you accept it in the privacy choices.
- Older pages may have images without complete alternative text or headings that are out of order; we fix these as we find them.
